Rangers rally over Penguins 5-1

It's do or die time for the New York Rangers tomorrow at Madison Square Garden. After playing a sluggish game 2, 3, and 4, the New York Ranger stepped up and played possibly their best playoff game so far, beating the Penguins 5-1. The shots on goal in this game were 35-32 in favor of the Rangers.

This game was an extremely emotional game for forward Martin St. Louis due to his mother's unexpected death on Thursday at the age of 63. After visiting his family in Montreal, St. Louis and his father decided that St. Louis' mother would want him to play in the game. This tragedy seemed to bring the Rangers closer together, as they played far better than game 4.

Game 6 will be played on Sunday at 7pm—Mother's Day. This again will be emotional for St. Louis. With all the emotion, the Rangers seem to be playing their best playoff hockey because as Chris Kreider stated after Game 5, "We weren't so much playing for ourselves, but we were playing for Marty and the St. Louis family.
